    Default Small show but worth the trip

    Had rather a bad start to the day but it turned out well in the end. My wife got off work at 11 last night only to discover that the car wouldn't start. Her plant is about 20 miles away so 1:30 am getting home and a $160 tow truck fee was not a great start. Turned out it was the starter motor and that apparently was worth $368 to the lucky repair shop. Kind of cut into our orchid budget a bit There were only half a dozen vendors but I managed to come away with a few that I've been hoping to get. Two Dockrillia - rigidum and cucumerianum. Two Dendrobium - unicum and officinale. Also bought another lindleyi and already have two but I do like the species a lot and it was cheap for its size. Conchita is still moping because we didn't get anything floofy. Did see some really nice plants on the various society tables. The 1st pic (lousy) is one I'd not heard of before but would like to get. Barbosella cogniauxiana next is a beauty yellow Paph that I forgot to write the name of. Third is another I lust for C. Ocelot 'Happy Halloween' AM/AOS and last is a fabulous C. maxima. Sorry about the picture qualities.

    I can see why want the ocelot. Very nice. Nothing like a few new orchids to cheer you up.

    Paph looks like Dollgouldii (armeniacum x rothschildianum) or something similar.
