Very similar to D.topaziacum, which I posted a few months ago - apart from the colour of the flowers, and perhaps these are a little larger. A first flowering from seedling - a second inflorescence can be seen just starting at the top of the leafless cane.

It looks a bit like Victoria reginae.

Awesome. Not seen a goldschmidtianum that is towards blue shade. Could it be a natural hybrid with Victoria reginae or ceraula?.

IOSPE has it as a distinct species, originating from Taiwan and The Philippines, below 300m, and that source is updated from time to time. Baker & Baker which is a wonderful source of info about habitat implies a certain amount of doubt, due to them not locating the holotype . Kranzlin is credited as thebotanist first describing it, and I have the idea that his records were at Berlin, and also that the herbarium there was badly damaged in the war (1939-45) and much lost. If and when both my plants are bigger , and ditto I can find time for some research I might dig a bit deeper. In the meantime I shall enjoy both.
I am just creating an enlarged warmer growung secrion i side my greenhouse for these taller growing things, which I hope to get operational before Christmas.

I have no idea ; the spotted growth was only a few inches high when I bought the plant, and already like that ; I assumed poor culture somehow, and hope for better things on the next growth !
