Basement orchid room progress
I had hoped to have this done by the end of September but it was not to be. Still, I'm hoping to start bringing plants in on Tuesday. This used to be the furnace room two years ago we had the oil guzzler replaced with a gas furnace at about the cost of two years heat with oil. Also had it put at one end of the basement instead of the middle. I had to replace all of the walls. They were about 70 years old and so hard or mushy they wouldn't take a screw. The bottom plate is pressure treated and I placed the drywall and cabinets 1/8"off the floor in case of water accidents. Should be able to get the rest of the shelves' lighting and what not in by Sunday night. At $20 below budget but that will probably be gone by then. Update on Tuesday if all goes well
