It seems both parties to this adventure have disappeared. One of them has a project of mine that I have not heard about in MONTHS.

    Life goes on......... I guess.

    Hi all,

    Not totally disappeared...just mostly.

There was some nasty storm last year - I don't remember exactly when - and Aaron lost power for several days. That was sadly the demise of all of the flasks of babies. They were close to replating size, too.

It was a neat experience flasking them for ourselves, and I encourage anyone interested to give it a try. But if it's a cross you really want to guarantee survives, have it flasked by a professional lab.

Sorry the story doesn't have a happy ending, but I'm happier for the experience. And that's really what orchid growing is all about.

    Hi Piper,

Its good to hear from you again.
Its too bad the babies did not make it, but you are right it is a learning experience. Even those of us just watching from the sidelines have learned a lot - and had fun learning too.
