Default Doritis pulcherrima v. champorensis media question

I keep on reading that for Doritis sphagnum moss should be used in warm, humid areas and bark for cooler, dryer areas. Should it be the reverse. I am trying to decide the best way to pot it and would prefer not to use sphagnum. Can some one suggest , from there experience, what I should use/ It has been growing under lights, but I am going to try growing is in a greenhouse where it will be getting bright light and warm, humid conditions. Thank you in advance for help in this matter.

I have seen a neighbour of mine grown it in bark+charcoal mix in clay pot. Some even grow in clay pot without anything. Not sure about sphagnum. This species is lithophytic in nature. There are other people who grows this species, sure they would reply soon!

My experience is that as long as you don't rot the roots it doesn't matter at all what you grow it in or on, as long as the rest of the conditions are in reasonable ranges. Its a weed. In sphagnum I would be concerned about staying too wet too long, so a small pot or net pot or clay pot, maybe some styrofoam peanuts in the center of the root ball.

Doritis prefers inorganic media. You have to renew the moss frequently or control watering (but given you will be growing it in a greenhouse, warm and humid conditions tend to make moss decay faster). Need a lot of air circulation at the roots. You can even try empty wooden basket culture.

Mounted on cork log, I water daily, fertilize weekly, in full sun at least 5-8 depending on time of year.
