Default Is my Gilded Tower Mystic Maze healthy?

I have had this for 4 days. I bought it because the pseudobulbs looked full and happy. I have noticed some small black spots on the bottom of some of the leaves. It seems pretty healthy, but I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what the spots are or are from.

There's a lot of things the black spots could be, from insect damage, disease, or virus. However, I don't think you need to worry too much, because Oncidiums are also known to get black spots from high sun exposure, which I think is the most likely cause. They are a little unsightly, and if they bother you, situate the plant so it gets less light, but still enough to bloom. The spots won't go away, but new ones won't form. If the plant is not receiving excessive light, and new spots form, then you can worry about what might be causing it, but for now, I would take a wait and see approach. Other than that, the plant looks very healthy.

Concur with Steve. Quite normal for oncidiums.

It is very difficult to grow perfect foliage , especially on thin-leaved plants like all the oncidium family. And once marked, you have that for the life of the leaves. But it won't stop them growing or flowering at 90% efficiency, although you need that perfection to get 100%

Thanks. I'm not worried about the spots (which are 98% on the bottom of the leaves only), but wanted to check. Since they seem to be mostly on the bottom of the leaves, I'm kind of thinking that it was some sort of insect that's no longer there. I'm not seeing anything new.
