    Default Angel's Trumpet

Took this pic of my angel's trumpet a couple of day ago, wish I could send along the evening fragrance, it is not to be believed. It also comes in a lemon yellow that is even more heavily scented than the pink.

Brugmansia is a great group of plants, yellow, white, pink, double white and now red and orange blooms. Outdoor hardy in this part of the world.

Ooo! What a cool plant. What a Florida plant!

After four days and 14" of rain (and it's only in the mid-40's) it's so not a New England plant!!!

If you can find someone who has the brugmansia(hanging flowers) just take a cutting and they root in soil in about a week. I root them in regular garden soil so they don't need to make that adjustment. I also grew them in pots up north and over wintered them in the garage. The Darura (upward facing flowers) are only grown from seed, and also quite easy. Keep in mind all parts of this plant is poisonous.

If they like to chew on plants. They said that the kids would dry the leaves and smoke them and get really sick, could be an urban legend I don't know.

I can attest to the hardiness, ease of propagation & fragrance of this plant. I don't remember where I got my first cutting, but now have 3 large plants. They are beautiful when in bloom. I've seen yellows, but don't have any yet

Kids will get high on anything. Its disgusting really. I saw on the news that they are now using regular everyday cough medicine, etc...
