The second flowering this year - first was in March as posted here. Comparing the two, this is a better colour, although perhaps not quite so broad in the sepals, and - not visible from the pics - this is a larger flower - some 5 inches natural spread. Mini ?
I find that several of my cattleyas have or are flowering twice a year now - which I attribute to 12 hours "sunshine" a day, every day, courtesy of my (supplementary ) grow lights. Makes the cost of them really worthwhile !
