For some reason, the spike grow at the base of the plant, near the roots below all other old spikes. It can happen but uncommonly. First time seeing such occurrence in person. Will update in a week or two for the flowers.
Can't wait to see the flowers.
Will be the same flowers as my old post. Only I hope the lip will be more pink because of the rainy season right now.
Look forward to them opening! I understand you have had a lot of rain recently, more so then normal for this time of year!
Very odd Azizan but interesting looking forward the photos.
The rainy days completely stopped this week. Since the temperature increased I don't think I will get any pink lip although the tip of the petals are slightly purple. Will update again once all of them open. Another spike is also developing, at normal position.
Very pretty! Nice to get another spike already. Flowers developing quickly!
It's pretty well done Azizan.
Finally all open. Slightly fragrant. Flower count: 8.
Stunning shape and color Azizan!
