I couldn't remember exactly which movie it was, but I did recognize the avatar!

I suppose it takes one fantasy fan to know another one.
The Dark Crystal was what came to mind, but those bobbing, warty, oldies, weren't as cute as the Neverending Story critters.

Nods over to Tindom ..yes I do love my fantasy! Agreed completely with you on that one Julie! That was another movie I liked alot ..that one and of course Labryinth ..ack don't get me started on the fantasy stuff!
If you're into fantasy, Brenda, you have to read Jonathan Stroud (The Bartimaeus Trilogy) and Philip Pullman (His Dark Materials Trilogy). They're both absolutely brilliant!

Has anyone seem "Mirrormask" yet? It was written by one of my favourite writers Neil Gaiman. If anyone is familiar with any of the Sandman comics or Death comics, watching the movie was like looking at the cover art. Absolutely incredible! Kind of like Dark Crystal meets the Wizard of Oz.Originally Posted by Piper
I did see those in the book stores when I was looking for other books to read and almost got em before so I'll have to do that for my next book. I have taken a break from reading since the last Harry Potter book. Eragon Inheritence was really good also, but I'm having a harder time getting into the second one. I haven't actually heard of that movie Mirrormask yet, but with that combination it sounds interesting. The only comics I ever got into was Elfquest and a few of the X-Men.
Neil Gaiman is brilliant! His 'Anansi Boys,' out last spring, was probably my favorite book last year.
Will have to get Mirrormask.

Cool. I thought I was the only person in this part of the world who saw and loved "Labyrinth". Always liked David Bowie but I'm not really sure why!!
Enjoyed Eragon but haven't read Eragon Inheritance. In fact, I'm so far behind I just bought Lord of the Rings.
Read Harry Potter on the stairmaster (me, not Harry). Have enjoyed ya'll's book reviews.
