Vanda falcata "Hisu"

It will always be Neofinetia falcata to me, although "officially" it is a vanda.
A favourite for its sweet perfume - which varies from one variety to the next. I have about 5 plants ( maybe more, I found 5 today in a search). Two are in flower now - this one - supposedly variety "Hisu" and a second with only four or 5 flowers, with a pink colour to the flower stems, and a much paler colour to the long nectary - assuming that is what it is- at the back of the flower - that one is var. "Shutennuu". I am not showing that since it is rather insignificant with so few flowers ; incidentally it is a two growth plant as this "Hisu" is, but the growths are much weaker.
"Hisu" has 3 spikes seen, with an average of 7 or so flowers per spike. A fourth spike is at an earlier stage.
Two other plants have lots of buds , but my largest plant in a ten inch basket with dozens of growths does not currently have a single spike ! Very odd. However I recall that I was doing some experimenting last autumn, as i know these plants have a dry and cold spell in the winter, in Japan ( where they come from) but being a bit disorganised and distracted by other things in my life, I have lost my notes, and am not sure whether the ones flowering were chilled, and the non-flowerer not, or vice versa.
Quite a problem to take a good pic of this - the difference in tone or hue or whatever is very subtle , so easy to get all that lost. But I am happy with the final result - thank goodness for digital photography - the 20 odd dud exposures don't cost a thing - but imagine doing that with 35mm film as we all did last Century, when ( I am told ) this now costs a dollar a frame !

Nice results Geoff! Funny, the leaves remind me of my brassovola nodosa but I can barely make out that the plant is monopodial and two growths. Very pretty and a nice scent to boot!

hello, for me it is a wonderful photo of an excellent and very pretty plant. Unfortunately I can only guess the scent according to your description. You mention another plant with a pink hint. Is there a photo for us?
