Dendrobium red leaves/cane

I have searched for an answer to this one, but was unable to find what I was looking for. I'm hoping you guys can once again come to my rescue.

I have two different NOID Dendrobiums. One has all leaves tinged with red; the edges and the line down the center (is there a name for that?) are an especially deep color of red. From what I've read so far, that's normal, right?

What I really need help with is the other NOID Den. It is a small plant started from a keiki I was given last summer. It has one new growth this year. On the new growth, the leaves have a red tint on the edges, and there are red vein-looking things on the outer skin. The original part (last year's keiki) has no red on the leaves, but the cane is getting a reddish purple color. Not any noticeable pattern to it--mostly the top segment, and some streaking down from that. I hadn't read anything about canes getting those colors. Is that normal? Or is it getting too much sun? It is right next to the other NOID Den.

Both plants sound as if the are the hardcane type and this coloring is quite normal.To my way of thinking having lived in an aera that they grow naturally,this coloring shows that they are getting the right amount of light and also it tells us what the plant/s are in the breeding of it.

Thank you orchid-man. I'm glad to know I'm not frying my plants. I'd love to hear any ideas you have about the breeding, then I might be able to research their culture needs more specifically.

The first one I mentioned (the one I was not worried about) is one I had been given to 'rescue' and had asked for help with ID of the type. At that time you were actually the one who suggested it was a hard cane type Dendrobium, so thank you again! I think you would be glad to know it looks much better now than it did in those original pictures.

Having just gone the 'Dendrobium Orchids of Austrailia',I find that there is only one species that has a redish color in the canes and that is Dendrobium biggum Var Compactum.
As the book says :- In full sun the stems show a lot of purple pigmention,frequenty the leaves are purplish-bronze.
