    Default Paphiopedilum stonei

This one was acquired as a mature, single growth, and took many years to finally bloom, but it's getting better and better - and growing faster, now that it's got several growths to help with resource management. In a 7" S/H pot and fed with K-Lite @ 100 ppm N weekly and dosed with Kelpak to stimulate growth and cause it to create extra growths.

The plant doesn?t seem as large as other stonei. What is the leaf span?

Papiopedilum stonei is by far one of the most beautiful lady's slippers. But it takes so much patience until it flowers. Good work Ray.

Arne, I think that "all plant" image is deceptive because the the angle, as the flowers are closer, so if you use them to judge the scale, the plant looks small. It was an accident, but in retrospect, it IS a technique used by fisherman all over the world.

It would have been good though if there was indeed a compact variety of stonei around. Thanks Ray.
