    Default Little Rock, Arkansas Zoo...

This past weekend our family was up for a visit and we took the kids to the zoo. Here are just a few of the interesting animals we were able to see. It was so hot, 99 - 100 degrees, that many of the zoo residents choose to stay inside in the cool shade. Enjoy!

Here is the tiger hangout. No wire or glass, just a deep ravine to separate the cats from the visitors. This guy was a bit overheated, while we were there, he and another big cat got into the water to cool off.

Here is a close up of this beautiful kitty!

An unusual bird in the open bird aviary.

Shot of the lake and some black beauties.

    The monkey cage

Farmer Lou trying to get our 'monkeys' to get into the cardboard cutouts in the barnyard to get their silly photos taken. They would not do it! LOL!

That was our day at the Little Rock Zoo. Hope you enjoyed it!

    Cheers!

Uh oh...Farmer Lou might win the photo contest with that entry!

Great pics, BD! The pretty kitty and the monkeys and farmer are my favs!

I just picked up friends from the airport last night, on their return from an African safari. They promised to e-mail some of their pics so I can post them. More critters coming right up!

Great pics BD, I love the tiger and the monkeys. We just got back from a couple of days in Sarasota, visited the Marie Selby Gardens. I will post some pics when I get them organized, there were some beatuiful orchids among other botanical beauties.
