I have never seen them or read much about them, but decided to buy some when a deal came along. They came to me planted loosely in spagh with a neat bobby pin contraption to hold them in their pots. The pots are the cheap light plastic and keep blowing over in the wind today, so they have been placed in a baby wipe container to hold them up.
I've read they are epiphytic - would they rather be mounted? I read they like low light and cool damp conditions.... I figured the baby wipe container would help with that too. Their leaves stick out above the container so they can get light and I just won't place them in direct light...
Should I replant them or mount them? If replanting - in what?
They seem to be in quite rough condition and to my untrainied eye, I would think maybe they are wild collected?? With years of nicer care, will they become prettier to the eye somehow?
One seems to have a keiki and one seems to have a flower bud quite ready to open... it's long and thin and seems to have color and stripes maybe....
Any advice would be so appreciated
