    Default Neofinetia Falcata

This is the traditional Japanese 'Wind Orchid', which was at one time raised by the shoguns. It is a small plant, that's a 2" pot that it is in, with a lovely fragrance. Other Neos have pink, purple, red and orange in their blossoms.

Very delicate, Diane! I love the pure whiteness! Neos are quite a Japanese obsession - I'm not surprised you have some.

I went on a crazy hunt for Neos and finally bought one. I *think* it's coming to me soon.... SOoooooooooo excited!!!! I'm afraid I decided for some strange reason I HAD to have oneand it took me so long to find one that I wanted, I may now become a Neo freak... I've been told there are blue ones as well? That's certainly on my list for the future.... as well as one with variegated leaves.
    Very pretty plant Diane!

I love that the spikes are pure white. They're a part of the bloom, unlike most spikes.

    Hi Diane!

You do know how to incite my responses, huh? I have been soooo busy at work. Things have been getting very hectic there and we are pursuing new projects and take our science to a new level. You know full well that once that happens, sh.. happens so I have to maintain constant watch on things. On top of that, I am training for a triathlon. So I have spent lot of time after work for swimming, running and all that.
It is also harder to keep up with the forum of late. The forum got a lot of new and very good people, and the new people have been posting away. So I got the chance to be a spectator for a change. All for the better, I hope.

However, my Neo bloomed during the last week of July. Since you "insist", I post the pictures here just for you! We will get together again sometime!
Cheers. Doc Spock. Live long and may your orchids prosper! Hehheheeeee ...
