About 2 months ago I got an intergeneric 'Howeara Lava Burst' that had
five spikes on it. As the flowers fell on the first 2 spikes I cut them back
to the psuedo bulbs. I was ready to cut the 3rd one back when I found a branching cluster of buds. I won't be so hasty to cut spikes in the future.
I remember that some of you have the same plant so don't be too impatient to cut them back. I'll post a picture of the plant and then one of the new branch.
