Default Paphs, Paphs and more Paphs..

I'm on holidays this week and well, I didn't really organise to do anything so I thought I'd go up to one of the local nurseries here... the quality of plants is superb, and goes to show the difference between nursery and box store plants!

    1. Paph Armeni White

the size of this flower was huge! About the size of a hand. And there were three of these so imagine the show!!!

    2. Paph Lady Isabel

this clone is from breeding done in the UK. The rothschildianum parent is 'Mont Millais'.

    in comparison...

    3. Paph Lady Isabel

breeding done in the USA... can't remember the parents name though... I think the petal stance on this is much better as is the 'cleaner' dorsal.

    4. Paphiopedilum Landmark

And of course we needed a sanderianum cross... so here is glaucophyllum x sanderianum.

    That's all folks!

Yes, Diane... to both... I always run around the place first and then afterwards have a chat to Kevin... as you know he's quite a character and it's funny talking to him about orchids and orchid politics.

He's hysterical!! I loved meeting him! Will you have time to take BD and Louis to meet him? I think that would make for one wildmeeting!

I can't wait! The paphs are beautiful! Hmmm? I am going to have to do a search for a discussion about this kevin person from Diane's visit.

--on a side note, the trip is on. I contacted Tim to let him know when our group would be in sydney. I CANNOT WAIT!!

    Cheers,

    Those are stunning Paphs, Tim!

I will accept a vicarious visit report, if Bruce promises to post his travelogue!

    Is it this winter?

Our spring, Tim's fall. I will post. I plan to keep a daily journal and will happily share excerpts with everyone here!
