    Default Newly deflasked babies

These aren't as exciting as bluemoon's menage a trois orchid pod, but they are newly deflasked phal babies that I just wanted to show off.

What is the cross? I tried to zoom in on the tag, but it gets too blurry to really read. How many did you put in each compot there?

    Cheers,

Duh -- I should have included the cross. I wasn't trying to play "secret phal babies." It is P. Taisuco Peace x Sibling -- nothing fancy, just some pretty whites with pink blush. There are 8 in one and 9 in the other --is that too many?

I am not sure if it is too many, but they look large enough to live in individual pots to me. I have not grown phal seedlings, but my paph seedlings seem to be doing okay in individual pots and they are not as big as your phal seedlings appear to be. (Maybe it is the photo and I am judging the scale wrong???) How large is the pot? Looks to be a three inch square.

Regardless, they look healthy and happy.

    Cheers,
    BD

The pots are 3 inches square -- good eye. I know, some of them are pretty big, but there were a few stragglers that were kinda puny, so I went for a compot. I figured I would watch them and be prepared to pot them up individually in the not too distant future. I am also afraid that in smaller pots they would dry out between waterings. It has been SO dry here -- and growing in the house only makes it worse. Carpet, drapes etc seem to suck up all the moisture, even with two humidifiers running all the time for the benefit of the orchids and the people.
