I checked the FAQ first...
How come all of the sudden reputation is not anonymous? Just curious! I don't really need nor wish to know who is giving or taking away my reputation. Fosters negativity, IMO. I just noticed this change today.
Thanks

You can check your *own* by viewing your user CP in the menu bar (next to the FAQ)
I don't know how to check others', assumed that wasn't possible.
Anyone?
Jason?
(sorry, could not resist....we need some serious levity around here - at least *I* do!)
It looks like you can only view your own reputation. I have never messed with this option before. Hmmm.......
Cheers!

Yeah, but why is it, all of the sudden, not anonymous? That I think fosters a lot of possible negativity if someone gets downgraded. JMHO of course.

does anyone else have a reputation? #and by that, i mean, a reputation here on this forum #
If you click on the "scales" in the upper right hand corner of a post, you can give the poster positive or negative "reputation."
Apparently not many people knew this relatively new and exciting feature.
So, still wondering about the anonymity issue. (and yes, Paphraguy, truly.)
The reputation feature is a way to commend people whose posts you found particularly valuable. I have been using this ever since the upgrade to post remarks and encouragement to many of you. You all can do the same for each other. However, just like anything else, it can be misused and misapplied to do ill. If the concensus is that we can't pat each other on the back every once in a while for fear we'll get stabbed, I'll just go ahead and disable it. This is not a problem.
