    Default sanderianum and S/H

Is anyone out there doing sanderianum in S/H?

I just repotted mine tonight because I was getting some detris out the drain holes that looked like millipede or pill bug poo. I did not see any of the above but the roots on the plant were not the greatest either. I am hoping the fresh mix will help but was wondering if the S/H might be even better.

I have always thought that sanderianum should be a good grower in s/h but never had the guts to put mine in.I use 1/2 bark & 1/2 LECA as a mix , i know they like it free draining but moist & also they hate stale or rotting mixes.
With the addition of the LECA i should be able to go 2 years between repotting.

I have a seedling in s/h. all of 6" LS. seems to be doing fine. in fact, the vast majority of my coryopedilum species and hybrids seem to take very well to s/h.

Sandys thrive in half the light of most Coryos. Mine is out growing my roths and Coryo hybrids, believe it or not, but it's in a western window and isn't very bright. More light actually stresses them.

Don't know about S/H, but low light in sphag and clay, and my guy is galloping!
