    I love the Vuyls...easier to grow than Miltoniopsis but just as beautiful in my opinion. Nice buy!

    A new plant always brightens up the house, esp. when it looks like that! Wow, pretty...you'll have to enlighten me as to the name...this one is new to me...i'm kinda new to this whole thing and studying my who-ha off trying to keep up with you all!

    Connie,

    Vuylstekeara is a trigeneric cross of Cochlioda (snail orchids), Miltonia (or Miltoniopsis), and Odontoglossum. They are cool/intermediate growers and like to be kept somewhat moist. This artifical (man-made) genus was named after the famous hybridizer, C. Vuylsteke of Belgium.
