    Question Phal with leaf holes

    Hello E1;
    I went shopping today with a friend and ended up (where else) at a local orchid nursery. The guy that owns the place is great. Does alot of new crosses and has just everything. He had a tray of phals headed for the trash and lucky me got to load them up for free! I'll do another post to show off the two catts my neighbor also bought me, they are too pretty and smell wonderful. My problem is I was stumped by something I have found on a couple of the leaves on two of the plants. There are holes, but if I run my hands along the leaf there are bumps inside that seem to be the cause of the holes. I'll post pics of some of the holes...Each pic is a dif. plant.

    I agree slug or snail.

    I have a candy striped phal with holes in it after I put it outside.

    Okay, all repotted and it looks like it was a mixture of things....sphagnum moss that kept roots too wet, i found snail eggs, too much sun and with one a very bad case of crown rot. Out of 6 plants I've got good hopes for three, and I'm praying hard for the other 3. I'll keep them all on a strict watering regimen until they start looking better. Hopefully the "dry 'em out", mix I use will be to their liking a little more than the soaked root approach. lol
    Thanx for all your suggestions. I'll update everyone on them later on.
