I spend a couple hours a week, not counting when I need to repot. Then I can spend a couple of days a week. All my Paphs get repotted at the same time, same with Catts... Paphs need to be done this spring. I am almost done moving Phrags to S/H.

I would say about 6 hours or more per week. I tend to be a little obsessive and check every day for anything that may require attention. I have several ongoing projects (seedlings, transfering mouns to pots, monitoring mounts to see if roots have taken hold, taking pictures, updating logs, going over what supplies I need, etc.) and fertilizing/watering, which is done usually en masse either Saturday or Sunday, if not whenever it's needed.
I say I spent 4 - 6 hours a week but it could easily be more. After a long drive home from work I say hello hubby and I am off to my screen porch and pergola to say Hola to my orchids and inspect them for scale. This is my way of winding down.
I agree sara, that's because I stare them all the time....
Actually, you're gonna say I'm crazy and obsessive - I've chose to 6 ou more.
I'm looking for news in them most of the time, rsrsr.
But during the week I have some help, cause I can't spent so many hours just for caring them. I wish I had
About 8-10 hrs a week. I'm a neat freak and each pot (around 150) has to be scrubbed on the outside and the leaves cleaned off each week, checked for insects, fungus, virus, besides watering and fertilizing. It takes substantially longer in the winter as all my plants come in the house and I have them on big rolling carts and have to bring them to the sink for water and fertilizer. This ties up the kitchen a couple of days a week. Get to eat out a lot in the winter!
An average of 30mins per day, just looking at them hehe and on the weekends (mostly
saturdays) about 2-4hrs.
At the moment I am spending 2-4 hours a week, but back home I spend more than 10 hours a week.
i probably spend about an hour a day. i'm sure i could be more efficient, but right now i like to water each one individually once a week (gives me a chance to look them over). everyone got repotted last month, so that was time consuming. if i'm not directly playing with them i'm building vanda boxes, more shelf space, etc. i'm an early riser and it gives me something to do while i drink coffee!
