    Question Long petaled Phrag question.

Is it generally the case that the blooms that open first will have shorter long petals than the later blooms that open? Or is it just random?
    Thanks in advance!

if anything, the first bloom will be the largest overall, in terms of flower proportions (and including petals). a vigorous plant will not suffer much drop off from the first flower to the last, but usually the flowers decrease slightly as you go up.

Hm, interesting. Petals are longer on my second bloom than my first by over an inch, so far. So I thought maybe the one that just opened today would be the longest yet!

    Wishfull thinking maybe?

was it shipped in bud? or any change in conditions. i suppose if you moved a plant from suboptimal conditions to more optimal conditions, the flowers might accordingly come closer to their theoretical potential.

It's the one I got from the greenhouse trip, one bloom open, 3 buds. So, I brought it home in the car, and yes, conditions are different in my home. Not as moist for sure.
