    Default The chid from Hell

    I was so excited my Paph Luk Luk (stonei x niveum) was going to bloom. This one has been a royal pain, reluctant bloomer with many growths and never a spike. Well I got one deformed flower without a spike, just the ovary and flower sticking out of the crown. I took the picture and tore out this abomination

    Some of these cross sectional Paphs and an occasion complex seem prone to this. I am hoping that it will send up a normal spike from the same crown. If I didn't like the leaf pattern, this plant would have been history long ago.!!

    Ah, poor little thing. Trying so hard to bloom, and then you don't like it. LOL
