Default What is wrong with my orchid, pls help me out!

    Hi Guys,
I am fairly new when it comes to rearing orchids. In fact I have only done that for like 6 months. Now I have a problem with my white Dendrobium with its leaves looking really weird. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Is that some kinda virus, fungus or root problems? Surprisingly it still manages to flower even though the leaves look really weird now.

    Any advice kind folks?

What's wrong with my phal? Its branch of about a cm has dried up? So sad
I've given it fertilizer and water but it's just not happy I think.

[Edit] Thread was empty for a while, figured the post went wrong somehow. Anyway carry on!
And yes I was looking for an opportunity to use this smiley.

So the problem is due to its roots and it is not some kind of virus problems?

Regarding the Den. looks like mites are doing damage to it . Try taking a piece of tissue wet it and run it over the underside of the leaves if you get orange smears then that is what it is , post back on what you find .

About the Phal. do you mean the bloom spike ? If so it is probably done with it , that time of the year .

    Gin and Orchid Man,
Thanks a lot for ur replies. Yes, I did wipe the underside of the leaves and they were stained with some light orange kinda thing. I bought a bottle of spider mite killer from my local orchid farm and I have sprayed the medication according to what the staff told me. I guess things are going to be ok, and will keep my fingers cross from here.

    Thanks for ur help again.

    regards
    samstom
