    Talking Meet the 'chids

I was taking some end of the summer pics to keep track of progress etc. and decided that my orchids wanted you to meet them. I tried to highlight some of the problems (that I take no credit for) and some of the successes (thanks mostly to our lovely climate I'm sure). I'm still a newb so any tips or comments are appreciated. Sorry no blooms for me right now.

So here they are (slideshow is best):

I also have some recently deflasked that I need to add:
Neofinetia falcata coerulea Dong Chon Hong x self
Paraphalaenopsis labukensis 'Baldan' AM/AOS x self
    Psychopsis kramerianum

Looking good! Your orchids seem happy with their new home...

I would put the Stanhopea in a basket....They generally bloom from the sides or bottom of the plant and you would hate to miss one! (like this one)

    Thanks!

I actually put several in baskets today now that I have some - the other Gongora, the Coryanthes, and the Stanhopea.

The Scaphosepalum is a very recent addition and is still recovering from a bit of over heating while shipping (or prior). It has six spikes and is always in bloom or in bud according to the grower

I am planning to give my first shot at flasking as soon as my media arrives. I have literally done hundreds of setups like these before though. The Cypripediums sound like a bit of a challenge, but they are native here and hopefully will populate my hillside.
