This one did not produce a lot of flowers - probably because its the first season after I bought it and it is still adjusting to the GH.
This is one of my favorite catts. The flowers are so tough you dont have to baby them - unlike those floofies that get damaged even by the slightest breeze.
They also last forever as a cut flower.
Two pseudobulbs bloomed with three flowers each.
This one below is an old picture of my other (non-awarded) C. Chocolate Drop 'Kodama' that got killed by the frost.
This one always had just one blooming pseudobulb (regardless of how many mature pseudobulbs there are) but had up to 16 flowers on a pseudobulb.
The awarded one on top clearly has a more uniform shape and color compared to the second one, which shows kinks and blemishes on the flower structure.
I only hope my new plant produces as many flowers per spike as the old one.

I love the shape and the color on that one. I'm sorry to hear the frost got the second one.
What a great color!
Cheers,

I love that colour and texture.
I thought about getting one but I though plant wasn't compact enough after looking at many photos online. I might be wrong maybe it is very compact...
Very striking!
I've always loved this one too. Unfortunately, it's such a large catt, can't see how I'd be able to find the space for it.
Seems like there are a number of hybrids coming out now that have Chocolate Drop as a parent. keep waiting for someone to miniaturize it.
BEAUTIFUL !!!
