I have a dear friend that has lived in Florida all her life and knows alot of horticultural info. accumulated for over 80 years now. I was complaining about spider mites and have been informed by this wise friend that spider mites are actually voracious eaters of cedar. They are attracted to the scent. That would explain why only my plants with that in their mix are the plants i'm finding damage from bugs and white powdery residue. sigh

ps i'll get the hang of this yet.
I have never heard that before. Good info, Connie. Thanks for sharing it.
Cheers,
