    Default Purple Iris

This one popped out and suprised me. Before it even got a chance to completely open, it started raining for two days and my huge beautiful iris melted into nothing. I'd snapped this picture anticipating posting it with a wide open shot or two, I had to settle for these two.

Very pretty, I love Irises. I grow Siberian Irises. Well done.

I have a few varieties, this is what I call my 'northern' type, loves the cold. I also have a few clumps of the 'Florida' type. Small miniature versions of the large northern ones. I would love to see what yours look like.

Stunning! Love these, among my favourite flowers among with peonies. I'd love to have a proper garden and grow them one day.

SO beautiful! I look forward to warmer weather so our spring blooms will start coming out.

With at least 3 feet of snow still covering my iris bed these partially open blooms really are eye candy! Thanks Connie.

Thanks. Brings back memories of my childhood. My mother loved Iris and had rows of them, mostly purple. I didn't appreciate the beauty of them at the time.
