cornu-cervi surprise visit

Here's my second of the 20 phal species seedlings that seems to like my place. It's in a 2.5" pot and looks like it's starting a spike, something that I didn't expect for at least a year or so. Sorry about the bad picture; it's on the left just above the second leaf.

Oh my well done! I just hope that it doesn't use all is energy in spiking to the detriment of the plant, You will have to show us pics when she blooms, it sure does look like a spike to me!

I saw some tiny phals the other day, on sale, that were like that. Too small yet to bloom, but putting out flowers anyways. I wondered how they got them to do that...

Congratulations. Looks like a spike. Cornu-cervi is a small plant, so blooms small. Yours looks like blooming size.

Hi, Richard. This is very exciting! The date on the picture is 4/13/09- is that correct? If yes can you update, please! How old is the baby? Too many questions?!

It's almost twice as long now. I bought it early January 2009 so I'm not too sure how it they really are but most of the others are still considered seedlings by me. This is the link where you can see pics of the ones I purchased together with it:
