Hi all ! Today I performed an extremely difficult cesarean delivery on my Cattleya bowringiana. Sheaths had been developing since June and had become super fat and I could make out the the borders of the buds and hence I decided it was time to bring out the babies. I discovered a double sheath and on cutting it open woof 11 fully developed flowers, 3 flowers had already started shriveling. But at the end of the operation the babies became too free and the inflorescence snapped. The plant has two more developing sheaths, I have already removed one layer of the sheaths for these ones. Here are some pics.
