Orchid dropping buds

Hi every body, I am still having trouble with my Dendrobium Orchid.
I posted the problem to the forum a few weeks ago about it's
flower buds simply drying up and falling off. A suggestion was
made that there might not be enough moisture in the air. So I
set up a humidifier. There was no change in the Orchid. So I set up
a second humidifier and the buds are still drying up and falling off.
However it is making 2 new flower stalks and the buds are beginning
to form on the 2 new stalks. If anyone has any other ideas I would
appreciate hearing them. I would love to solve the problem before
the buds on the 2 new stalks start falling off too.
I am watering it twice a week. It is not in direct sun. I appreciate any
good ideas you can share.

Bud blast can be for a number of problems. The good thing is your plant is giving you a couple new spikes. It may have been shocked going from the nursery, then to the store where you bought it...and then to your home. Each change can shock a plant. Thankfully, when dendrobiums like your care they will bloom nicely. I have a plant out back that had a spike go bad for no reason that i can find (other than the recent temp drop)...it too is now growing a replacement spike. This is a common thing...

I have had this orchid for about 10 months. It was in the basement window but when it started dropping buds I moved it upstaires to a spot away from the window but the room is very bright. It continued to drop buds. So far I have moved it, watered it extra, and added 2 humidifiers to try to cure it from dropping dry buds.

But my Odontocidium right next to it is still blooming nicely.

Dropping buds can be caused by many things. Is there an air - conditioning vent near by that blows on this orchid? That can cause bud drop. Are you keeping the media too wet? Do you move the orchid to different locations? Just the trip from the store to your home could have caused this issue. Most likely it is a humidity issue. Increasing the moisture with humidifiers and even a pebble tray should help. If your orchid is growing new spikes, then something about your culture is working, so hopefully your new spikes will not drop their buds. Good luck.

Like I said I have had it for about 10 months so it's been a long time since it came home from the store. It is not near an A/C vent. I will add the pebble tray as you suggest. I'm open to suggestions. I don't want the next 2 stems to loose all their buds. Sorry I got the wrong Orchid picture attached.
