Geodorum citrinum

Can anyone give me some tips about the care of Geodorum citrinum? I can hardly find anything on the web, and the seller just said "same as other terrestrial orchids, water every day", which is not very useful.

Hope someone can help before I kill my plant ;-)

Hi Alfred, this is purely terrestrial orchids, in the wild I saw many of them especially Northern part of Peninsular Malaysia growing very well on the floor, the pseudobuld just about the size of ping pong ball or slightly smaller than that depending on the size of the plant. The pseudobulb buried just about 2 to 3 inches from the surface mostly covered by leaf litter and soil.For your information you can use mixture of pebbles and soil to encourage good drainage and this species is very easy to grow, received about 50 to 60 % sunlight All the best.

Thanks Zainil! It now sits in sphagnum mostly, seller said I could put it in soil. So how about watering, fertilizer? Does it need a winter rest?

Geodorum goes dormant after flowering. It would help to keep the plant drier from then until you see new growth.
