What a nice arrangement of den you have there especially the dark purple one. Is that a Stapelia in the background on the right under all those gorgeous white flowers.

Hello group, this is a great forum where everyone shares their experiences with our plants. Ive always loved orchids primarily because of their longevity and beauty. They fascinate me
Three years ago I bought a basket of Dendrobium Jacqueline Thomas and Uniwai Pearl from one of the online retailers. I wasn't too happy with them because the plants were small, mere seedlings!!
When they finished blooming I didn't have the heart to throw them out since it was pricey
I made a pile of lava rock, topped it with many bags of charcoal and orchid bark. I planted my dens and other later acquisitions directly in this mix and aimed the sprinklers at them. I keep the tags on my plants for future identification
Here's the result

lovely outside growth, well done
Max eagle eyes! Yes it is a stapelia. It grows like a weed, I have it in a pot and it cascades over the edge

Lovely, quite the flowering garden bed you have going there. - martha
Lovely landscaping. Happy to see that there are still Jacqueline Thomas around. They used to be very popular in the 1960's .
Jacqueline Thomas is great Yew Sung, they get up to 3 feet long. I also have Lois Bleriot, its an soldier too
You really surprise me Glenn!!!! Louis Bleriot too? I didn't know it still existed - of course you must know this is one of the parents of that venerable Den Madame Pompadour. Yes they do bring back memories of my first 2 collections; Den Lady Faye and Lady Hamilton, May Neal, Guadalcanal, Caesar, Superbiens, Den Phalaenopsis White, Jacqueline Thomas Blue and others, whose names I have forgotten. And they were all around or just before the time you were born!!!! The 60's were the heyday of vandas and dendrobiums in Malaysia.
They look nice when planted out like this, but beware for snails and slugs in the medium...
