    Default Blc. Village Chief Green Genius North 2016

    Posted this in bloom last November and bought it in flower last spring, April I believe. Orchids that flower about every 6 months are good! When purchased it was quite overgrown in a 4" pot so divided it into three and sold the other two. This spike has 5 flowers, 2 more than last time so now I wish I had kept it as found. Colour has changed a bit though. Oh well, added a couple of more to my collection with the proceeds Properly? Blc. Village Chief North 'Green Genius' 1P/TOGA

    I usually don't like pelorics but this is pretty eye-catching! May have to change my mind..

    A peloric orchid is one that has a genetic mutation that causes the petals to mimic the shape of the lip.

    I don't see pelorism in your orchid. The similar coloring of the petals and lip don't make it so. I have one that was peloric when I bought it and bloomed 'semi-peloric' the next time. Here is a link to the semi-peloric post.
