This is the best flowering I have yet achieved with this species - maybe 14 of the little bunches of flowers here, or started. In the past I have never managed more than 3, I think.
Of course in the far east - in Thailand at the big botanic garden, they do them so much better - canes hidden by flowers. But I'm not in Thailand.
Seems to have several synonyms, although ones bought as topazianum ( said to be the same thing) have had orange flowers not pink, but otherwise identical.
Really needs a bit more dedicated work with the camera, I think. Having a dozen plants to do I was too lazy to dig out my Nikon and macro lens, not used for a few months now whilst some major shifting about has taken place in the house here, following my widowerhood. Buit one day I will finish working my way through my long list of things to do, and set up my studio again, and start doing it properly... one day .....
P.S. Yes I really must do that - these individual flowers are so beautiful, and you cannot see that here. A proper close-up is essential. One day....
