Dendrobium goldschmidtianum

I got this early spring labeled Dendrobium miyakei. It was mounted on a piece of tree fern about 3"x3". Never grew, just sat there like that bump. Put it out with the others in June and it continued to pine. Three weeks ago I potted it still attached to the tree fern and already a new PB is growing and it flowered. I just couldn't keep that little lump moist enough. Now the problem is I don't know what it is. An ID would be much appreciated!

IOSPE has miyakei and goldschmidtianum as synonyms - I see your pic has it labelled as goldschmidtianum. So why do you think it is not that ?

BTW I have that one ( at least, I have a plant with D. goldschmidtianum on the tag ! ) and my only comment is that my canes are not distinctly ribbed at all - which yours appears to be.

When I bought it the label read myakei then I saw the IOSPE entry. The flowers don't look like the IOSPE shots. I labeled that way until I'm sure. The ribs may be a result of having no living roots when I got it.

It Does look like Den.goldschmidyianum. I have one in buds too. Is a great bloomer (blooms 2-3 times a year)

Thanks for the info Sriram. Hope it gets more flowers as it gets older.
