It is a beautiful addition. You have so much talent, Cin. Thanks for sharing your art with us!

That's a beauty! The colour combo is really nice! I'd be too scared to walk on it for fear of making it dirty![]()
You made this? Congratulations. Very "Art Nouveau", beautiful choice of colors, lovely design, you are a pro! Are there more stepping stones besides this one? Pictures! Pictures!![]()
I too would love to see pics of others! It is beautiful...to beautiful to be used as a stepping stone. Would also like to find out your technique. I was considering a table top mosaic for the patio. I used to do stained glass...your technique reminds me of that.
Edit: it does look like each tile is individually made and not cut...is that the case?
That's beautiful, Cin! I think it's your best one yet. Good job - can't wait to see it in the garden.

VERY cool design, Cin!
Until she returns, for those who are interested..........
1) There are a number of her stepping stones posted on the forum, should be able to find them if you go to the search engine at the top and type in "stepping stones". As you have already seen -- she does lovely work!
2) Yes those would be individual tiles.
3)Cin has her own kiln & generally makes her own tiles, as I recall, so safe bet she made the tiles for this one too.

Thank you Paul for being my liaison. You did well except I don't have a kiln, I use the one at the Art Center.
Yes I make the tiles from clay and I do on occasion use stained glass patterns.
Here are a couple before and after shots the first group is the first cut then the clay is sculpted and smoothed, fired, glazed, fired again and installed. The second group is is the unfired glaze and the finished product.
This is the thread that shows the pathway. http://www.rv-orchidworks.com/orchid...ing-stone.html
Thanks for all of your kind words.

Hi Gin,
Your stepping stones are beautiful!
My favourite is your lastest circular/ floral creation, closely followed by the phal stepping stone!
You are indeed very talented!
for sharing!
