S&H Pink Phalaenopsis NOID

Hey all!

I just thought I'd share some pics of my pink NOID phal that put up a pretty spike recently...all 4 blooms are open today, its quite nice!

This phal was "rescued" from a grocery store in New York City about 9 months ago(rescued as in, I didn't need anymore plants, but this one needed a home so badly!!) and repotted immediately into S&H media. It was blooming at the time I bought it, so at least it didn't wait a year to bloom again She also won 2nd place at our orchid society party/meeting last sunday...I think it was because only one bloom was open at the time, and maybe bc of the fact that I (rather unprofessionally) wrapped the pot in christmas paper and put a bit bow on it, LOL... No one really said anything about it though! I thought for sure that the judges would stick up their nose at it...

This guy sits in a southern window, which is filtered slightly by my window screens...but other than that, its proven to be a tough phal!!

Hey isn't that the cutest thing? Gotta love those winter bloomers...just when everything is bleak and dark they give us an explosion of colour in the middle of winter!
