A couple more pictures. Should I repot this phal once the flowers die?
That is a lovely yellow....it's got great roots! As long as the potting materials aren't breaking down too much, let it be. Phals that stand up like that seem to like some aerial and some potted roots.

The plant also came with a gift certificate.I'll have to make a trip to the orchid store once these flowers start to fade.
Very pretty!
Nice color combination and a healthy looking plant. Too bad we don't have an ID on it.
That is so cool! I agree with the above advice. No need to repot if the medium is still good. I always like to check out the roots so I end up repotting, but sometimes it is not necessary. Beautiful blooms on this one.
What ya' going to get for the next one?
Cheers,

That's a nice yellow.
It looks very healthy and flowers probably will last a long time. I bet you will make back to the orchid store before this one fades![]()
I think the store has many NOID phals. My general experience in LA is that if you want one with a tag, it costs 2-3x as much. I would think the pricing is similar everywhere?
Not sure what to get for the next one. Most likely I will stick with phals since the lighting I have isn't always great and they seem pretty hardy.
I have a couple of baby catts. I think I have another year or 2 to go before I can hope to see any blooms.
Hey Stacy, I may be able to help ID this but I'm away from home presently and won't be home til Thursday....and if not now in another month or so when mine reblooms. Hey check this link out: http://www.rv-orchidworks.com/orchid...ogo-david.html
