Gongora catilligera - like hovering bird of prey ?

A first flowering in my collection - bought a year or so ago, and settling in quite nicely. I have a couple of examples of the yellow one - luteola ( also has another name whicjh I can't recall) which is a very frequent flowerer - every few months from the same plant , as different growths mature, I suppose. This is quite distinct, and somehow with this colouring, has more character. Or maybe it is simply that my favourite orchids are always the ones actually out, when I am asked.

Very nicely bloomed Gongora orchid, Geoff. These orchids are always fascinating to see. It does look like a bird of some kind and the coloring/pattering on the petals is so interesting.
