nice spikes, good growing
Wonderful, Steve. I can't recall seeing that many flowers on alata before. I love Encyclias. Just purchased prismatocarpum and nocturnum.
Wade, I just got my first Encyclia (an alata), so I figured I might as well go all out & get Encyclia phoenicia & Encyclia Borincana X bractescens. ONE of them has to make it! Seriously, what kind of conditions do you grow yours under? This is a new species for me so I'll take all the help I can get, LOL.
Love the dark color at the end of each petals. Congrats.

looks awesome. how big are the pesudobulbs?
Roughly 2" to 2 1/2" high.
Wow....awesome species.
Very nice...
Simply stunning! I agree with Wade, haven't seen that many flowers on Alata before. May I ask what your growing conditions are, particularly media? I haven't seen blooms on my alata in almost two years. :-(
