Wink Paphiopedilum Honey (Paph philippinense x Paph primulinum)

Hey everyone! I've been super busy with work and home and haven't posted any orchid pics in a while, so yesterday I saw this lovely little slipper orchid in bloom and thought I would share it with all of you. I snapped this with my mobile phone, so not the best quality photo, but I still love this cutie. This is Paph. Honey (Paph. philippinense x Paph. primulinum)

I wish I had more growing room for the multiflora paphs, I really like them.

My first multifloral, when I started specialising in Paphs, 30+ years ago. I had a flask of them from a guy in NY,NY, and raised about twenty to flowering size. Made a great display. All gone now , as have almost all my paphs ; they just don't seem to mix well with other orchids, but maybe thats because I am aiming to please the others, and you can't please all the people ( or orchids) all the time. All of them some of the time, yes, or some of them all the tikme, also yes, but not all and all. Thats philosophy that is !

This is a pretty flower. I am no fan of primulinum itself but it's hybrids with polyantha are good-looking. Bruce, remember what we learnt from this forum: stop, smell the flowers and take pictures.
