    Default Kagawara Kultana Red

Now days I seldom will mount a vanda type But the Kagawaras do much better for me mounted on wood. I'm not sure why? But they do. I have to be vigilant about thrips but they just grow and bloom much better.

Cathy, I have a terete vanda I bought at a greenhouse sale at the VA. It never did well until I gave it a slab of wood to lean against in it's basket. Now it is growing and doing much better. I think it's something with the humidity the piece of wood helps with. Keeps the root moist longer or something?? Whatever it is, it definitely makes a difference! I love your Kagawara. That is one vanda type I haven't tried yet.

Now if that color doesn't attract a pollinator I don't know what will. Beautiful plush RED. AL
