This ever faithful Enc. has performed well again this year. There are sixteen spikes. Unfortunately they are a tangled mess because the bulbs are so thick and close together I am unable to stake them individually and so they are all growing in the same direction. Hey!! the fragrance is awesome, what else could I ask for.

yours has much lighter coloring than the one i just got. mine is mostly brown with some yellow in the center near the petal bases. it's a little battered from the mail, but the scent is wonderful and sweet. yours must fill the room. great growing! i'd love to see more of the plant, and how you potted it. i need to repot mine, and so far i've been doing treefern pots for encyclias. wondering how well it would do in a clay pot instead.

I have already put the pot back into its growing position which is a bit difficult to get a shot of the pot. This is one I took for the original post. This shows more of the plant/bulbs. I have it growing in an eight inch clay bulb pot which is only about 5 inches deep. the medium is Aliflor and charcoal.
this plant started out in a 4inch pot but these bulbs increase very quickly, and I don't like the chore of repotting often so I decided to grow a specimen plant!

Just incredible! If I lived one hundred years i don't think I could grow something this multiflorious or hugh.................God you must be able to smell these a block away from your house. AL

I have several Encylias, and only one has ever bloomed for me, obviously I am doing something wrong and you are doing something very right, a beautiful display
