    Cool Kagawara Yoon Weng-Low

    My Ren. philipenense x Asca. Yip Sum Wah hybrid is blooming again. The flowers are actually a dull color in the shade, but as the sun hits them they become more and more colorful.

    I have a similar experience, Connie. Some vandaceous orchids do undergo a change in color intensity depending on the exposure to sunlight. I have one which even exhibited a change of color. That one really surprised me.

    It can make for a fun time when trying to get an accurate picture color-wise. Often I take a dozen or so pictures and then delete the ones that aren't color correct. And yes the change in color is one i've noted as well.
