    Default Noid Phal

My wife got this one for Mother's day. It is pretty vigorous so far. We got it in bloom, and after it was done, it quickly popped out two new leaves and a new spike. Tough to get the exact colors right in this picture. It is pink with a light yellow/light greenish background when the flowers are mature. They start out darker. Should have used a black background. Oh well. This is the only phal of this flower type that I have.

Oh, I like it a lot! I'm a sucker for unusual flowers! Of course I like pale ones, bright ones, dark ones, light ones, spotted and striped ones! I'm just a sucker for orchids I guess.

i love these peloric types. they are coming in many colors here in common grocery stores. are they natural mutants or man-made? i wonder if they are a sudden development due to some chemical or hormone in the cloning or breeding process? or have they always been around but just not being sold much until now?
