This yellow cym was in bloom today also. It has a wonderful fragrance and thrives in the heat of our greenhouse.

Very nice! A local lady had one of those....what a wonderful smell and the color yellow on those just lights up the whole room! Cymb's are fun, all those backbulbs to work with.

That is terrific. Congratulations, it looks perfect. What is the plant in bloom in the background?
Thanks folks! And Joe, just for you: Oncda. Charlesworthii 'Mishima'
I had to go back out to the GH to see what that orchid was. I noticed it this morning, but did not really pay much attention to it since it was on the top shelf and had only a few blooms. I am glad you asked about it. It has bloomed before, but I don't remember ever taking a photo of it.

That's a lovely cym, Bruce. It likes heat? I thought they prefered cooler intermediate temps; or am I thinking of another type of orchid. Would it grow here in FL? If so - I WANT ONE!!!
Tami
This is the only cym we can grow really well (besides the one we got from a friend in Hawaii - it grows like a weed and she mows it down there!!). We grow this one near the door of our GH which is the warmest part of the GH. It always blooms and the foliage always looks good. Our cool grower is a big mess. We keep it near the kool-cell and it still looks straggly. I really like this yellow one. You should get one!!
